Full Description:
The ICOM IC-F6400D is a UHF digital mobile radio from Icom. IP55 standards means that the F6400D has a limited protection against dust, whilst also being resistant to jets of water from all angles. Built to military standards (MIL-STD-810 C/D/E/F/G) the radio is reliable when working in a variety of different climate conditions, continuing to operate from -30°C to 60°C.
VOX Voice Activation is a built-in functionality of the F6400D allowing for hands free communications whilst using the radio, this alongside Bluetooth that allows for the module to be used with a hands-free 3rd party device.
This version of the ICOM IC-F6400D has a high resolution colour LCD display showcasing the channel that the radio is connected to, paired with a voice announcement feature that will notify the user when changing channel number, zone or type.
The ICOM IC-F6400D has an audio equalizer that allows the tone of audio to be tailored in order to suit speech characteristics, five types of controls are available with this being flat, high boost, middle boost, low boost and low cut. Signalling types such as 5-Tone, CTCSS and DTCS are readily installed to the F6400D.
Alongside having Bluetooth the radio also has a built in GPS receiver, this allowing for position data being sent via a voice call, status call or through the use of AVL (Automatic Vehicle Location).
