The Kenwood NX-3720GE is a vehicle mounted multi-protocol digital radio designed to deliver high performance, a rich range of advanced features and flexible deployment options.

Part of the Kenwood Nexedge range, one of the NX-3720E’s unique selling points is it is designed to operate using mixed digital and analogue protocols simultaneously. On the one hand, seamless switching between digital and FM analogue operation makes the NX-3720E ideal for use as a mobile control base for mixed fleets, and a useful option for migrating from analogue to digital over time.

At the same time, the NX-3000 series offers future-proof flexibility with support for both NXDN and DMR digital protocols. In DMR mode, the industry standard for digital radio, users have access to features such as call interrupt and dual slot direct mode, which doubles the number of channels from the 512 available as standard. NXDN provides excellent spectrum efficiency, ensuring wide coverage and scalability, with the ability to scale up to large, high capacity networks through Type-C and Gen2 trunking. This includes the option to link up to 1000 sites.

Whether in NXDN or DMR digital mode, the Kenwood NX-3720GE benefits from outstanding audio quality courtesy of Active Noise Reduction (ANR), a patented Kenwood audio technology. ANR utilizes built-in DSP to digitally remove background noise from the signal, ensuring that only voice is received and processed at the other end to ensure clean and audible communications in all environments.
