Hytera HR655 Repeater

Hytera HR655 Repeater

The Hytera HR655 is a rugged, powerful and totally flexible DMR repeater which can be used either as a fixed or portable unit.

Whether mounted to a wall and powered by mains supply or carried in a backpack powered by battery, the Hytera HR655 can connect radio users better than ever before with greater flexibility.

The internal battery can be used to power the unit for up to 9 hours, and acts as a backup in case of mains supply failure.

It can also operate in dynamic mixed mode between analogue and digital, switching based on the call type it receives.

H Series repeaters boast some of the most advanced features on the market, delivering unparalleled value to users who need it the most.

What does a repeater do?

Put simply, a repeater ‘bounces & amplifies’ your radio signals, to increase range and coverage across your site.

Example: When I stand in the middle of my site, I can hear radio users at either end of the site, but they cannot hear each other.

Typically, the solution will be to deploy the repeater in the centre of the site, with the aerial in a high up position, which is then more reachable by all of the handheld radios across your site. When you transmit now, instead of your radios transmitting directly to one another, they now all transmit to the repeater, which then broadcasts that signal back out all over the site, with more power and in most cases, more range. In cases where sites have geological restrictions (such as a hill in the middle of a site), a repeater at the top of the hill will solve your coverage issues, as like line of site, the top of the hill has a clear path for signals to be transmitted to and from your radios.

With over 30 years of experience supplying two way radio repeaters to thousands of customers across the UK, you have come to right place.

Why don’t we list prices for our repeaters?

As one of the more complex parts of a two-way radio system, there are simply too many variables for us to list prices for, some of which are listed below.
  • OFCOM licensing requirements
  • VHF & UHF options
  • Duplexer add ons and programming
  • More advanced programming configurations
  • IP site linking
  • Transmitter Aerials
  • Mobile ‘repeater in a box’ for outdoor and deployable communications

Let us do the hard work for you. It doesn’t matter if you have an existing OFCOM licence or not, existing radios or starting from scratch, or even already operating existing repeaters, our experts will engineer your new repeater to perfectly suit your needs.

We offer turn key solutions that can be self installed, or our qualified team of engineers can fully install on your site.

Ask us about our demo kits - We have VHF and UHF demo repeaters which can be supplied to your site to test the benefits of using a repeater with your radio system, before taking the plunge and investing in this type of equipment.
